Sue has two children and four grandchildren, who sadly live away from the area.  She has been on Mitcheldean Parish Council for eleven years, and was previously a District Councillor for eight years. She is a physiotherapist, and worked for the NHS in Ross on Wye and Herefordshire until her retirement.


Sue is a Governor at the Heart of the Forest Community Special School.

She is on the management committee of Forest Sensory Services, formally the Forge, the local charity which provides assistance for deaf, blind and partially sighted people of all ages.

She is also a Board member of The Orchard Trust, which provides homely accommodation and resources for people with Special Needs

She delivers lunches to older people for the local branch of Age Concern on one day a week.


More recent activities include campaigning to keep Mitcheldean library open as a going concern.  A Co-operative has been formed to enable the library to be Community run and extended to provide a hub for the all sections of the community.
